Kenfair mega show’s flair continued. As an expanded session to the bumper Mega Show Part 1, the second part of the Mega Show series, was proven to be a genuine expanded trading platform for another 700 exhibitors and many buyers who might have missed the Part 1 session.
Following the legacy of its sister mega-size Part 1, the smaller Mega Show Part 2 occupied the Hall 5 and Hall 7 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Part 2 gathered under one roof a total of 825 booths, featuring 715 exhibitors from mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, U.S.A., Australia, etc.
Over 14,000 keen international buyers, many of whom made a return trip to Hong Kong after visit to Canton Autumn Fair, attended the Part 2. We saw substantial number of visitors from Europe to South America, with Asian buyers showing increasing support to the show these two years. They shared one common goal: to grasp the last golden opportunity to finish their sourcing trip by grabbing even more good items and great suppliers.
Again, with such a wide array of products to choose from, buyers were spoilt with choices before fixing their orders for the upcoming seasons. Products on display among the booths covered plush toys, pre-school toys, advertising premiums, consumer electronics, arts and crafts, seasonal decorations, general gift items, bedroom and bathroom accessories and many more.

The many new suppliers exhibiting at the Mega Show Part 2 had brought about novelty and surprise to the veteran buyers, many of whom were impressed by the variety and high quality of the products available at the show.
“I am an importer looking for toys and other miscellaneous items. This show has demonstrated a high level of professionalism in operation such as the pre-registration process. Although this is a smaller fair than Mega Show Part 1, product choices are still plentiful!”
- Lousi Kuenen, General Manager Louis N. Kuenen GmbH, Germany
“I am an exporter and distributor for toys and household products. I find this Part 2 very competitive in terms of its presentation and organisation, especially when compared with fairs in nearby China cities. I’m happy to see lots of my product categories here.”
– Andrew Grant McCormack, Owner, Golden Horse ITC, U.K.

The organiser Kenfair had added design flair to the mega show. As a supporting event to encourage design innovation and product originality from the local talents, Kenfair and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University joined hands again to organise the “Hong Kong Original Gifts & Household Products Design Competition”. The winning designs of the competition, together with those from another Kenfair-supported toys design contest were put on display at the specially set up showcase pavilion in both parts of the Mega Show. Made of mostly recycled materials, these products also reflected the increasing popularity of green manufacturing. Many buyers found these winning pieces truly intriguing and inspirational as they opted for the would-be market hits in the coming months.
The next year’s Mega Show Part 2 is scheduled on 28-30 October 2006 at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
