(Hong Kong, 21 October 2007) – Presented by leading Hong Kong trade fair organizer Kenfair International, “MEGA SHOW PART 1” (the “16th Hong Kong International Toys & Gifts Show” and “15th Asian Gifts, Premium & Household Products Show”), opened today.

The 4-day event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (“HKCEC”) presents over 5,000 booths featuring the latest products of 3,500 exhibitors from 36 countries and cities including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Thailand, India, Korea, The Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Mr. Herbert Ip, Chairman of Kenfair International, said, “Since its debut in 1992, ‘Mega Show Part 1’ has expanded to become one of the largest and most important consumer retail products trade events in Hong Kong. The UFI-approved show attracts worldwide industry retailers, sourcing experts and purchasers to Hong Kong every October and presents them with latest products and new business and network opportunities. The audited attendance of 60,551 buyers at last year’s show bears witness to the exhibition’s status as the major Hong Kong trading platform for quality toys, gifts, premiums and housewares produced by Asian manufacturers and we expect this year’s event to be another enormous success for our customers.”

To meet growing demand for exhibition space, expansion work at the HKCEC has been underway. When completed in early 2009, about 19,400 square metres of exhibition space will be available bringing the total rentable function space at the HKCEC to 90,000 square metres.

Mr. Duncan Cheung, Managing Director of Kenfair International, added, “‘Mega Show Part 1’ has a waiting list of customers from both Asia and abroad. With more exhibition space available at the HKCEC in 2009, we shall be able to increase the number of booths from the current 5,000 to about 6,000 to accommodate more exhibitors, and with the added space we can improve our hospitality and services for buyers.

Immediately following “Mega Show Part 1”, ”Mega Show Part 2” will be presented by Kenfair International between 28 and 30 October at the HKCEC to round off the October buying season in Hong Kong.
