(Hong Kong, 20 October 2006) - Presented by Hong Kong's leading trade fair organizer, Kenfair International Limited, the "15th Hong Kong International Toys & Gifts Show" and "14th Asian Gifts Premium & Household Products Show" (collectively known as the "Mega Show Part 1") officially opens today.

To kick-off the event, an opening ceremony was held today at the morning and Mr. Li Guikang, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of The Central People's Government in HKSAR is invited to be the guest of honour and to officiate the opening ceremony.

Held on 20-23 October 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre ("HKCEC"), this year Mega Show Part 1 is occupying also the HKCEC's new exhibition hall - the Expo Drive Hall and the Expo Drive Entrance, having around 5,300 booths in total, which continues to serve as the largest international trade fair of its kind in Asia.

Mr. Herbert Ip, Chairman of Kenfair International, said, "Every October, a huge pool of international buyers throng to Hong Kong to source from a wide range of top-notched yet competitive-priced products at our annual Mega Show Part 1. Proven as the most effective trading platform for Asian toys, gifts, premium and household products, our Mega Show Part 1 is again fully occupied by exhibitors with full capacity of the HKCEC. We are pleased to see that our show this year is expanded to the new exhibition halls of HKCEC, which provides 400 more booths to cater the overwhelming demand of the exhibitors."

Acclaimed as the genuine international trade fair, Mega Show Part 1 attracted over 3,400 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions this year, besides Hong Kong and China, a huge number of exhibitors are coming from Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Korea, Thailand and the Philippines, which makes the congregation of international exhibitors of Mega Show Part 1 the largest of its kind in Hong Kong. To facilitate browsing of products of buyers for the same country and region, regional pavilions of the above Asian countries and regions are set up in a designated area. With the splendid track record of the show, Kenfair International is expecting an overwhelming attendance of over 65,000 international buyers to visit the four-day event this year.

To ease product sourcing of the buyers, the Exhibitors Locator System launched last year has been further enhanced to assist visitors for identifying specific venue locations, products and exhibitors according to their search requirements. Nevertheless, Kenfair International continues to deliver a comprehensive range of value-added services such as the Business Centre, Internet Service Centre and Panda Lounge to provide visitors with the most pleasant one-stop sourcing experience.

To further enhance and render suppliers and international buyers an extended trading opportunity to follow the Mega Show Part 1, Kenfair International has also launched the sister session Mega Show Part 2, which will be held at the HKCEC on 28-30 October 2006, and a brand new exhibition zone - Table Object Asia is added this year.
